An ongoing design collaboration with the Dutch National Police - part of a longer relationship that spans internal tools, operational systems, and interface work that sits under NDA. This is the one piece from that body of work that can be talked about publicly.
The problem was real and operational. People at the perimeter of an incident had no reliable way to get information, report what they saw, or submit evidence. The gap between what the police knew and what bystanders could access was creating friction on both sides. After months of research alongside Aimforthemoon and Max Hoefeijzers, we ran an intensive design sprint around one concept: scan a QR code on the police tape, get real-time information, report as a witness, submit evidence directly.
That process compressed months of individual working into a focused week of collaborative decision-making, prototyping, and testing. Multiple iteration rounds, a working prototype, and a clear direction for how it could be developed further.
This kind of project is different from a typical design brief. The constraints are real, the context is serious, and the users are often in a stressful situation when they encounter the interface. Most of the work I've done for the police operates under those same conditions - which is why it can't be shown here. But it exists.
